For whatever reason you find yourself reading about our plans to help others, Thank You. You may be friends of family or friends of friends. You may be with a potential corporate sponsor, or you may be a stranger we have never met. Perhaps your vehicle indicates an inclination for religious practice and you received a business card. Perhaps you read about us in the newspaper, heard about us on radio, or saw us on TV. It could be that you received an email from us directly, or from someone who passed it on to you.
It simply doesn't matter how you got here, only that you did get here! We greatly appreciate your time and effort.
Like many, our mission has developed over the course of time. My personal journey involves nearly 30 years in the Food Service and Hospitality Industry. During the past 12 years, I began to pay greater attention to the Message as it has been delivered by my Pastor, Rev. Dr. Kim L. Katterheinrich.
In my youth I had attended church but had not been particularly active for most of my adult life. My wife and I began attending church on a regular basis shortly after we were married. We had both been married previously, yet knew of no particular Pastor to marry us when the time came. We decided it was time to make some changes!
As we have listened to Pastor Kim over the years a solid message has been continually present; We have all been given talents and abilities from God. Do something with them, spread the Word of Salvation and bring glory to the Lord through our Savior Jesus Christ!
Through this mission we intend to do just that. The statement you see in our logo is simple: "When Disaster Strikes-We Feed People"! We have been given the ability and skills to cook for and feed people. We have set our sites on the need for people to eat when the forces of nature have just devastated their lives. To bring the Message of hope, love and support, and to provide for those who are there in other capacities to help. Police, Fire, Utility Crews, Clean Up Crews, etc....
Our mission is solely focused on the needs of those most hard hit. The people who couldn't get out of the way and those who were not evacuated. We have seen major storms over the past few years devastate vast areas. As Americans, we always bounce back.
